I want to thank all of you who made the last Compline event at the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine a success. Sunday, August 13, the Cathedral of St. John the Divine offered the liturgy of Compline in place of their normal Evensong. It was an incredible opportunity in the life of the project, exposing it that evening to an audience of 250 persons. To adapt and introduce the service for the cathedral, Tim Brumfield, the Cathedral Organist, improvised on the new “Gregorian” themes during the service. His playing presented it in an accessible way and created an extraordinary atmosphere. Members of the cathedral choir also added wonderfully to the evening’s accomplishment.
